German & Bilingual

Two languages, one joyful childhood.

SparkLab is a German–English immersion preschool in Irvine. German is woven through the day in song, play, story, and celebration — so children absorb it naturally, the way young children always have.

The question every family asks

"But we don't speak German at home…"

That is exactly who this is for. Your child needs zero German background to thrive here. Between roughly age one and six, children are wired to soak up language effortlessly — far faster than any adult in a classroom. Immersion simply gives them a second language to absorb, in the same playful way they learn their first.

In plain terms: English-speaking families are welcome and thrive here. German-speaking families find a rare place to keep their mother tongue alive. Both belong.

A day at SparkLab

Where the German actually happens

🎶 Woven, not taught
  • Morning circle — German greetings, songs, and the day's rhythm.
  • Play & discovery — naming the world as children build, paint, and pretend.
  • Snack & mealtimes — everyday words that stick because they are used.
  • Stories & rhymes — German picture books and finger-rhymes daily.
✓ What parents notice
  • Children singing German lullabies at home within weeks.
  • Counting, colors, and animal names slipping into play.
  • A confident, curious ear for new sounds and languages.
  • No pressure, no flashcards — just a second language they own.

Come hear it for yourself

The best way to understand immersion is to feel it. Visit on a Laternenfest evening or any ordinary morning and watch the children switch worlds.
